Summer Reading

I wish I had planned a tiny bit better, but I seem to be caught in an internet blackout. Though I have plenty to do offline, I also brought some books to read as well. It is my plan to start Solaris by Lem tonight.

I have certain expectations having seen both movie versions. I tend to doubt it will match Tarkovsky’s poetic vision (which Lem did not really appreciate though either), and I expect it to have a much richer story than Clooney’s version. Really? George Clooney in space? Maybe I have it wrong.
